The School Education Major consists of three areas ― Pedagogy, Educational Psychology, and Early Childhood Education ― and carries out comprehensive, original education and research in each of these areas. In this major, faculty and students work together, with serious consideration given to the students' research subjects and their approaches to them.

This major aims to develop specialized knowledge and practical skills related to the education and welfare of children who require special support, based on research on the education, psychology, and pathology of disabilities. There are two courses: Special Support School Education and Special Support Education Coordinator.

Ten courses are offered covering the following subjects of the school curricula ― Japanese, Social Science, Mathematics, Science, Music, Art, Health and Physical Education, Technology, Home Economics, and English. Education and research are carried out on curriculum development in each of these subjects and in the theory and practice of the specializations that support them, in order to develop teachers with a high level of specialized training.

The School Clinical Psychology Major aims to develop specialists with the ability to carry out research and clinical practice in relation to the emotional problems that are on the rise not only in schools but also in various areas of society. The major is composed of the School Clinics Course and the Clinical Psychology Course.
