AdmissionsUndergraduate Course


Ehime University offers nine undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor's degree in Comprehensive Policy Making, Law, Economics, Arts, Education, Science, Engineering, Agriculture and Nursing, and a six-year course in Medicine. The purpose of the undergraduate course is to produce citizens with broad and up-to-date knowledge of science and the arts as well as in-depth knowledge of his or her specialty.

The required period for graduation is four years but the medical course is six years. Students who have satisfied the graduation requirements are awarded a bachelor's degree.

Application Requirements for International Students

Applicants must

  • be of a nationality other than Japanese,
  • have taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students administered by the Association of International Education, Japan before application,
  • satisfy one of the following requirements
    • have completed twelve years of school education overseas before or by the end of March in the year of admission or the equivalent of such education as recognized by the Japanese Minister of Education
    • have an International Baccalaureate Diploma and be over eighteen years of age
    • have a Zeugnis der allgemeinen Hochschulreife recognized as a qualification of enrollment in universities in the Federal Republic of Germany and be over eighteen years of age
    • have a Diplome du Baccalaureate de l'Enseignement du Second Degre recognized as a qualification of enrollment in universities in the Republic of France and be over eighteen years of age
