Purpose

As society makes its way into an age of emphasizing the environment and culture, research on regional community innovation, based on policy and culture, will be more important than ever. The Ehime University Research Center for Regional Community Innovation was established as a cooperative research institute within the university for the purpose of promoting academic research related to regional innovation and contributing to the vitality and development of regional society by conducting education and research related to the region.

Outline of the Facility

The main activities of the center are as follows.

  • The center aims to bring about rapid expansion of research activities centered on the region and innovation in new interdisciplinary academic fields related to the region.
  • The center will develop and expand systematically regional links based on research on policy and culture, in cooperation with various regional organizations and individuals.
  • The center will work toward developing professionals to support the development of an attractive, self-reliant regional society.

Brief Introduction

The Research Center for Regional Community Innovation aims to contribute to regional society based on research related to regional policy and culture. An attractive region requires an attractive economy and culture, and in concert with the science-related centers already in existence, the center is necessary for the promotion of contributions to the region. In addition, by learning together with the region and returning the results to the region, the mission of the university in creating a lively region will be fulfilled. The center desires to become loved and guided by the region.
