The University Co-op offers many services for students. They have cafeterias and shops on the Johoku, Tarumi and Shigenobu campuses. If you become a member, you can get discounts on some items, such as books. You can plan a trip either in Japan or abroad through their travel counter and the Johoku counter has people who can help you in English. They have experience finding the cheapest way to go where you might want to go. Membership for international students is 2000 yen, but this will be returned when you leave the university.
