A local volunteer group called CAS, provides used electrical appliances and household goods to students for free. This is a way to help the students and the environment by recycling. Bicycles are also provided. They cannot promise that you can get everything you need to set up housekeeping, but it can help. Transport of these things is also provided, but a small charge is taken for gas. There is a small storehouse on campus for these things. Just ask at the Student Exchange Team office for the key and return it when you are done. There is also a larger storehouse located off campus. If you need something for your apartment, it is a good idea to check at the storehouses first.
