The President Selection and Supervisory Council is an organization that selects, under its own authority and responsibility, suitable candidates for the position of president from within and outside the university.The membership at Ehime University consists of seven members of the Management Council and seven members of the Council for Education and Research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The method and reasons for the appointment are as follows<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Management Council has invited a wide range of highly knowledgeable individuals from various fields, including local governments, corporations, financial institutions, the mass media, the medical community, and alumni, both within and outside of the prefecture, to participate in the President Selection and Monitoring Council (the President Selection Council until FY2021). Based on the policy of selecting members from the perspectives of (1) continuity of discussions at the President Selection and Review Committee, (2) gender balance, and (3) flexible holding of meetings, the Management Council deliberated and selected seven members: Ishikawa, Jinno, Takahashi, Doi, Nishikawa, Hotta, and Yokoyama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Appointed members of the Council on Education and Research: In order to obtain a wider range of opinions from the faculties of the university (Faculty of Law and Letters, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Collaborative Regional Innovation, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Agriculture), all the deans of the seven faculties were deliberated and appointed by the Council on Education and Research to serve as committee members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
