Student Accident Insurance for Education and Research (Gakkensai)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This insurance covers physical injuries caused by sudden and accidental external accidents that occur during educational and research activities and while commuting to and from school, and plays an important role in students’ lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Join<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can enroll in the program at the time of admission along with other expenses. You can also enroll in the program other than at the time of admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scope of Activities Covered<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

“Education and Research in Action.”<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  1. During regular courses While taking classes in lectures, experiments, practical training, exercises, or skills (including while engaged in thesis research under the direction of a faculty advisor or while preparing for or cleaning up after classes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. During school events While participating in various school events organized by the university as part of its educational activities, such as entrance, orientation, and graduation ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. While on school property other than (1) and (2) While on school property owned, used, or controlled by the university for educational activities (except while in a dormitory, at a time or place prohibited by the university, or while engaging in conduct prohibited by the university).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. During extracurricular activities notified to the University outside the school facilities. During cultural or athletic activities conducted under the supervision of an on-campus student organization recognized by the University according to the prescribed procedures in accordance with the University’s regulations. (except while engaging in dangerous sports such as mountain climbing or hang gliding, or while being at a time or place prohibited by the University, or while engaging in activities prohibited by the University).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    “While commuting to and from school and between school facilities.”<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

(2) A student who, for the purpose of participating in university classes, school events, or extracurricular activities (club activities), commutes to and from his\/her residence (including his\/her workplace in the case of a student who entered the university through the entrance examination for working adults) by a reasonable route and method (excluding methods prohibited by the university).         GAKKENSAI supplementary liability insurance (Gakken CALI)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        This insurance covers damages incurred as a result of legal liability for injuries to others or damage to others’ property during activities covered by the course of study and during return trips to and from the course of study, and is available only to members of the Student Accident Insurance for Education and Research (Gakkensai).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        GAKKENSAI supplementary comprehensive insurance for student life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Gakkensai” covers injuries sustained during education and research activities. By adding Gakkensai supplemental comprehensive insurance for student life (abbreviated as “Futai Gakuso”) to “Gakkensai”, the coverage is expanded to cover all aspects of student life. However, by adding “Gakkensai” and “Gakkensai Supplementary Comprehensive Insurance for Student Life” (abbreviated as “Fuutai Gakuso”), the coverage is extended to all aspects of student life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        *Compensation for out-of-pocket expenses incurred at medical institutions for injuries and illnesses incurred in daily life, both on and off campus. For details of the coverage, please refer to the PDF file below. A pamphlet will be distributed to new students at the time of enrollment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
