\u3000Ehime University offers “quasi-regular education” as educational activities and student support activities that are not included in graduation requirements or for which no credits are given, but in which faculty and staff are involved and provide support based on Ehime University’s educational strategy and educational intent. The characteristics of “semi-regular education” are as follows. The characteristics of “semi-regular education” are that (1) students are given more autonomy than in regular education, and (2) faculty members are responsible for the content of the activities and provide appropriate guidance. In “quasi-regular education,” student initiative is particularly emphasized and is expected to be of great benefit to students during their studies and after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ehime University Leaders School (ELS)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The philosophy of ELS is “to produce student leaders who contribute to the revitalization of the university and the creation of society by acting responsibly to achieve the goals of the organization.” By developing and supporting student leaders and potential future leaders, we aim for their personal growth and the revitalization of the university with students at its core. We train leaders who can exercise leadership and contribute to society after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

West Japan Student Leaders School (UNGL)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is a program to learn the leadership required to play an active role in the local and international communities through step-by-step exchanges from within the university to within the country, from bilateral to multilateral, transcending differences in standpoint, generation, and culture. The program aims to nurture “leaders who continue to learn” and fly from universities in western Japan to the world through experiences that emphasize connections not only between universities but also with the local region and the world, such as industry-academia-government collaboration projects and planning and organizing international conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n
