In particular, taking advantage of Ehime&#8217;s position as a general university, the University&#8217;s policy is to support students in acquiring the five competencies listed in the University of Ehime Competencies through learning in a variety of academic fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehime-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/&#x56F3;&#xFF11;.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ehime-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/&#x56F3;&#xFF11;-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-348367\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Education Curriculum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following four subject groups are offered in common education, each of which has its own distinctive approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Foundation Courses<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This group of courses is designed to help new students acquire the knowledge and abilities necessary to lead healthy and fulfilling lives (life skills), acquire effective university study methods (study skills), and acquire the knowledge and abilities that will serve as the foundation for their overall academic studies.<br\/>The following courses will be offered: &#8220;Freshman Seminar,&#8221; &#8220;Mental Health,&#8221; &#8220;Sports,&#8221; &#8220;English,&#8221; &#8220;Mathematics,&#8221; &#8220;Introduction to Social Skills,&#8221; &#8220;Introduction to Information Literacy,&#8221; and &#8220;Introduction to Intellectual Property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Future Thinking Support Courses<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This group of courses is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and thinking skills to become human resources who can survive in times of change, understand global issues, and contribute to solving future issues that arise locally, nationally, and internationally.<br\/>Beyond SDGs,&#8221; &#8220;Future Thinking Literacy,&#8221; and &#8220;Future Thinking Seminar&#8221; will be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">general education course<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>This group of courses is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of basic perspectives and knowledge, develop general-purpose abilities through independent study, and cultivate the rich humanity required of sensible members of society.<br\/>The following courses will be offered: &#8220;Ai-Dai Standard Courses,&#8221; &#8220;Basic Seminar for Problem Discovery,&#8221; &#8220;Ai-Dai Prime Courses,&#8221; &#8220;Inter-University Cooperative Courses,&#8221; &#8220;Foreign Languages for Beginners,&#8221; and &#8220;Courses Related to Teaching Licenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">advanced course<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a group of courses that aim to acquire qualifications unique to the University and are offered as university-wide minors.<br\/>There are several subject categories, such as &#8220;subjects related to the sustainability of food and agriculture in Ehime,&#8221; &#8220;subjects related to the training of SUIJI Servant Leaders,&#8221; &#8220;subjects related to the training of environmental ESD leaders,&#8221; &#8220;subjects related to Ehime University Leaders&#8217; School,&#8221; &#8220;subjects for skill development,&#8221; etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-image-border\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehime-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/&#x56F3;&#xFF12;.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ehime-u.ac.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/&#x56F3;&#xFF12;.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-348379\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Purpose and Implementation Policy of Common Education Ehime University&#8217;s common education aims to help students acquire the ability to learn, think, and practice by themselves, based on the principles stated in the Ehime University Charter.
