Dr. Jun Tsuchiya, Associate Professor of Geodynamics Research Center (GRC), was elected as MSA Fellow by the Council of the Mineralogical Society of America (MSA).
MSA Fellowship is awarded to a member who has contributed significantly to the advancement of mineralogy, crystallography, geochemistry, petrology, or allied sciences and whose scientific contribution utilized mineralogical studies or data, and the number of fellows elected each year cannot exceed 0.5% of MSA membership.
This fellowship recognizes her internationally-acknowledged research achievement on the first principles investigation of hydrous materials at lower mantle conditions.
