Symphony (orchestra)
Would you like to be a part of the orchestra?
Ehime University Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1975 as “Ehime University Instrumental Music Club” and changed its name to “Ehime University Symphony Orchestra” in 1977. As the only student orchestra in Ehime Prefecture, it performs mainly at regular concerts once a year and is known by the nickname ” Ehime UniversityHibiki. The orchestra also performs at graduation and entrance ceremonies of universities, as well as other performances upon request.
The orchestra also holds recreational activities at training camps and intra-group events to deepen the friendship among the members. We can perform not only classical music but also other music in the form of an orchestra or in an ensemble with various other instruments.
One of the charms of the ensemble is that the woodwind and brass members of the group hold ensemble concerts on a regular basis.
No experience or inexperience with musical instruments is required. Beginners are also welcome. If you like music, want to play an instrument, or are interested in playing an instrument, please come and see us. You are welcome to join us at Ehime Universityand enjoy the orchestra with us!
