On December 13, we invited Mr. Hiroki Kawachi, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., as a lecturer and held a risk management simulation seminar for overseas programs, assuming that an earthquake would happen while students are engaging in field work in a foreign country. The seminar was attended by around 30 faculty and administrative staff members.

All the attendants were divided into six teams assigned different responsibilities (Headquarters, taking care of students/families, collecting information, Public Relations, Accounting and so on) and discussed how to respond quickly and appropriately to pieces of information coming in one after another. After the group work, they experienced the simulation of a press conference and a meeting to explain to parents and families.
