The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences(UGAS), Ehime University Graduation Ceremony, September 22, 2017
 The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences held a graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University, with representatives from Ehime, Kagawa and Kochi Universities in attendance.
Doctoral degrees were conferred on 21 graduates, of whom 19 were international students (Bangladesh 5, Thailand 2, Vietnam 2, Nepal 2, Indonesia 4, Malaysia 2, China 1, Ghana 1). One doctoral degree by dissertation was also conferred.
 After the degrees were conferred and memorial medals were presented, the Dean of UGAS, Hiroki OUE, delivered his graduation address in English, encouraging the graduates with these words, “The studies for your PhD are originally related to the primary industries, such as agriculture, forestry or fisheries. The research in these fields is important in supporting the foundation of any country. Moreover, these would have links with the secondary and tertiary industries for innovation. I am convinced that you will play an active role globally in many aspects.
Lastly, new PhDs here, I do hope you continue to broaden your horizons and make your mark in the international community. Best Wishes to everyone.”
 

 
 The day of the ceremony was unfortunately rainy, but all the graduates were smiling broadly for the commemorative photo.
 After the photoshoot, a celebration party was held, with Adhikari Sudhashree as the master of ceremonies. At the party, all the graduates gave a short speech about their research life and expressed thanks to their professors. It was very lively party, helped in part by family and friends of the graduates.
