The Center for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering holds a Kickoff Symposium

  On March 5, 2019 in Imabari, a kickoff symposium was held by the Center for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ehime University, attended by around 150 participants including representatives from shipbuilding-related companies.

  After President Yuichi Ohashi and Mr. Ryoji Kan, Mayor of Imabari City, made opening remarks, Prof. Masashi Kashiwagi, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, delivered a keynote lecture titled “Expectation for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in Japan.” This was followed by the introduction of the center’s activity plans and faculty members by Prof. Hiromichi Toyota, Director of the Center for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering.

 

  The Center for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering will develop human resources who can solve problems in the shipbuilding industry and put research results into practical application in collaboration with local communities.
