On May 26th and June 2nd four students organized an online webinar as part of the Exchange through Webinars course.
A total of 50 students and staff members participated from Ehime University, the University of English and Foreign Languages of Hyderabad India, California State University Sacramento, and University of Washington.
4 students from the Faculty of Law and Letters with the support of Assistant Professor Adriana Hidding presented on student life, culture and food of Ehime. Students in India presented on Sikh, Muslim, Hindu and other religious traditions, and an eye-opening virtual tour of a Gurdwara (worship place for Sikhs) was given. As exchange activities translation sessions and word games were organized.
It was good to see students and staff from Sacramento and Washington again, and to make new acquaintances in Hyderabad. We hope to meet again to learn more about India’s rich culture. The Institute of International Relations hopes to organize more online exchanges to give all students the opportunity to enjoy international exchange even when travel is difficult.
