Professor Divina Medina Amalin, along with Scientists in Residence, Dr. Alberto T. Barrion and Dr. Maria Nilda M. Munoz, and Postdoc Research Dr. Billy Joel Almarinez, from De La Salle University (DLSU), our partner university in the Philippines, visited Ehime University.
On October 25, they delivered special lectures at a seminar on “Biological Control of Dengue Infection and Agricultural Pests”, held at Ehime University.
On October 30, President Yuchi Ohashi signed the Memorandum of Agreement to establish the Ehime University Satellite Office at DLSU, Laguna Campus, which is also equipped with molecular biology research equipment.
Professor Amalin expressed her gratitude for all the support by Ehime University for the establishment of the satellite office as well as their on-going collaborative research with Professor Kozo Watanabe of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Ehime University. Both universities also discussed how to inspire future academic and student exchanges.
We expect that the Ehime University Satellite Office Philippines will function as a leading platform to promote international collaboration in academic research and contribute to further interaction between the two parties.
