Mr. Yuichiro Sawada, a doctoral student of the Graduate School of Medicine, won Best Poster at the 34th Annual European Association of Urology Congress, held in Barcelona, Spain, in March 2019. This award was presented for his poster presentation titled “GPRC5A facilitates cell proliferation and bone metastasis of prostate cancer.”
Mr. Sawada reported in his poster presentation that he discovered a candidate gene which may be used as a therapeutic target and diagnostic marker through the reanalysis of the existing data of prostate cancer gene expression using his original algorithm.
