The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences held a graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ehime University, with representatives from Ehime, Kagawa and Kochi Universities in attendance.
Doctoral degrees were conferred on 14 graduates, of whom four were international students (Thailand 2, Nepal 1, Indonesia 1). One doctoral degree by dissertation was also conferred.
After the degrees were conferred and commemorative medals were presented, the President of Ehime University, Yuichi OHASHI, addressed the graduating class in Japanese, encouraging them with these words: “Being awarded a PhD is proof of having highly expert knowledge and skills and also the ability to investigate problems and seek solutions as a researcher. From this day onward, I expect many of you new graduates to take the path as an independent researcher. In continuing your research, be disciplined and further your knowledge and skills as an expert in your field. In the near future, I hope your research will contribute to the development of science and technology and society.”

The day of the ceremony was blessed with great weather, and the graduates were smiling broadly for the commemorative photograph.
A celebration party was then held, with Arita Dewi Nugrahini as the master of ceremonies. At the party, the graduates gave a short speech about their research life and expressed thanks to their professors and families. It was very lively party, helped in part by family and friends of the graduates.
