The following is to inform you of the procedures for Ehime University (excluding affiliated schools) to conduct classes (including intensive lectures during the school closure period) in the event that a “Special Warning (excluding storm surge and wave)” or “Typhoon Storm Warning” (hereinafter referred to as “Special Warning”) is issued in either Matsuyama City or Toon City due to the approach of Typhoon No. 6. The following is the schedule of classes (including intensive lectures during the holiday period) at Ehime University (excluding affiliated schools) in the event of a “windstorm warning with typhoons” (hereinafter referred to as “special warning”).
In addition, please check the messages on the Shugaku Support System, etc., for the implementation of make-up classes in the event that a class is cancelled.
Cancellation of classes in the event of a “Special Warning” or “Typhoon Warning
(1) If a “Special Warning, etc.” is announced at 7:00 a.m. or between 7:00 a.m. and the start of morning classes
Cancellation of morning classes
(2) If a “Special Warning, etc.” is announced at 11:00 a.m. or between 11:00 a.m. and the start of afternoon classes
Cancellation of afternoon classes
(3) If a “Special Warning, etc.” is announced at 4:00 p.m. or between 4:00 p.m. and the start of night classes
Canceled evening classes
(4) If a “special warning, etc.” is announced after classes begin
Classes are cancelled from the next period onward in the relevant class period (morning, afternoon or evening). However, if a special warning (excluding storm surge and waves) is announced, classes will be cancelled immediately.

*Notwithstanding the above, classes may be cancelled depending on the evacuation alert level issued by the city/town and the transportation situation. Ehime University will announce the cancellation on its website (Important Notices).
*Even if classes will be held, if it is difficult to come to school due to the cancellation of trains or buses because of weather conditions, or if you have no choice but to miss classes for safety reasons due to evacuation orders issued for your home, etc., please notify the instructor in charge of the class of the absence for a valid reason.
