On Thursday, July 25, 2024, a meeting of the Ehime University International Exchange and Cooperation Service (AINECS) Board of Directors and a party for international students were held.
At the meeting of the AINECS Board of Directors, held in the salon on the second floor of the Alumni Hall, President Hiroshige Nishina and other AINECS board members from inside and outside the university attended to discuss and approve the “Business Report and Financial Report for FY2023” and the “Business Plan and Budget for FY2024.
After the Board meeting, the International Student Party was held in the cafeteria on the second floor of the University Hall, attended by a total of 99 people: 70 international and Japanese students from Ehime University and 29 attendees from inside and outside the university. The MC was Ms. CHOI KWANGJIN (Korea) of the Faculty of Law and Literature in Japanese and Ms. MADARANG JOSE III LUPINA (Philippines) of the Faculty of Education in English. Following the opening address by President Nishina, Mr. CUELLO SAVINON RAFAEL ULISES (Dominican Republic) of the Faculty of Agriculture delivered an address on behalf of international students. After that, Mr. Yasushi Kamikou of the Matsuyama Rotary Club gave the toast and the party began. Five members of Ehime University’s hogaku (traditional Japanese music) club performed traditional Japanese instruments such as the koto, followed by a traditional dance performance by four Indonesian students. The party was a great success, with participants actively interacting with each other.
AINECS will continue to promote activities that connect the region and the world through support for international students.
